I found this Oberdorfer pump installed on a 2 cylinder gas engine (Palmer maybe?) in one of our local pick-and-pull junkyards. (Don't ask me why there's 2 sailboats in the yard) I figured what the heck, maybe I'll rebuild it for the experience and then have a spare. After getting it home, I noticed the shaft is different from my other Oberdorfer despite looking outwardly identical. I haven't seen any other pictures that look like this. What model is this pump and is it usable in the A-4? I removed the grease cup btw.
Junkyard find Oberdorfer...but what model?

I think I have a hinge just like that in my misc. junk hardware box. Left over from a pole barn project. I didn't know I was saving it for a movable pump bracket.
It must have been fun to work over that sawmill blade flywheel when the engine was running. Looks like a dirt bike rear sprocket.Bill

Lots of home-spun on that Colorado yacht!

The author described a unit-less 'boat index' that was (combined waterline length of all boats) times (the number of boats), which allows for a sensible one or two boats, but escalates even a modest number of small boats into larger number. Say, anything over about 50 or 80 is a warning flag.
But the kicker was this: "Can you see your boats on Google Earth?"
PS: I don't think I have a problem, with a dock dingy, an RIB inflatable, a couple kayaks, and Bunny Planet, but my number is about 546. And the answer is yes.Last edited by BunnyPlanet169; 04-22-2015, 05:27 PM.Jeff
