I did a quick Internet search for the ABYC standards but could only find ones I had to pay for. I have Nigel Calder book mechanical electrical manual 4th edition.
I have a couple of questions. Are there any full free standards out there I can get my hands on. I'm in NY. Who sets the rules for this stuff. The USCG or a combination of organizations. My entry into searching for this is proper bonding of the boat. I have finally set my strut and am ready to put my gas tank back in but need to reattache the what I assume was a bonding wire to one of the strut bolts. Of course I took no notes or pictures before dismantling the boat and am now scratching my head about how everything goes back together.
Would following Nigel Calders book keep it safe and legal or do I need to have more information on this. Thanks for the help
