    Dutton system (flow sensor)

I installed a complete "Dutton warning system" last summer. So far I'm quite pleased with it - the kit is well thought out. However, I had a problem with the flow sensor. It never worked. Always making the system buzz, although I had plenty of water coming out of the boat. I had a good filter between the seacock and the sensor. I washed it and checked for faults and debris, to no avail. After removing the sensor, I used a meter to see if there was some sort of continuity change between the yellow and black wires when I triggered the sensor manually: nothing, no change on either position. As you can see from the photos, nothing seems broken. Any suggestions? I'm FWC and the sensor was used on the raw water circuit.

It might be useful to study your raw water circuit to see if any restrictions are causing a "pulsing" or "batching" upstream of the sensor.
