A little late to the party...
HERE is a thread that discusses both the Acid Flush and the Pressure Flush (with Pics too)

          Today's progress:

          I did the acid flush.

I pressure tested the RWC system at 20psi for 30 min and droped to 16psi. Is that that is a concern? Maybe I'll do this test and see what happens over an hour.

Then I pilled off the impeller, and it was shredded:

I had replaced it with a new on at the beginning of this season with one that I found on my boat that was new in the package. It could have been 15 years old but looked like new and was sealed, so I figured it would be good to go. I guess not! So I put the old one back in as there was really nothing wrong with it and will order up a new one.

I found all but one of the fins. Hopefully, that one found it's way out the exhaust.

She's cooling like a champ now

          Thanks for the help everyone!!!

            So its steam !!!

I have been having this issue this season ...
Graham your Video is an exact representation of my issue ..

I thought I was burning oil, but apparently its steam . I also like your "tailpipe extension ". I may add one myself . Time for an acid flush for me .

I will even open the side plate this winter and clean that out , it has not been done in the 5 years I have owned the boat and I have done one acid flush in that same time period .

              Good Old Boat

The water flow out of Graham's exhaust looked weak to me - good hint there was a flow problem.

              Check your water pump impeller

poor flow = elevated temps = steam
