Charging system problem

The Balmar charging system on my A4 has a built in 10 second delay after engine start-up before it activates and begins charging the battery bank. There is always a slight drop in RPM's when this happens and it serves as audible notice that it's working properly. Last week the system stopped charging - no delay, no drop in RPM, no charge going to batteries.
I bench tested the alternator and electronic ignition systems and they are both fine.
Any ideas what else to check?

It would appear that your lack of charging would have to either be a problem within your alternator system (perhaps something in the control circuit that you missed) or a faulty connection within the charging circuit. Perhaps you can get some assistance from Balmar.
