Sending unit...
My first post after acquiring a 72 C & C 35 MK I with an A-4. I worked through the entire cooling system one hose at a time including the raw water system and coolant system and it all seemed pretty good.
The temp gauge starts right then then pegs in about 3 minutes. Physical contact with the engine confirms that it is running within normal temps, so I am guessing that it is the sending unit.
The local mechanic at the marina where she is said that any 12v sending unit will work so long as the threads match. Is that right? and If so, does anyone have a suggestion for what part number ad where to get one?
