    Newbie resurrection

    Hello all,

I just picked up a '76 C&C 27 with an Atomic 4. My first inboard.

The motor hasn't been run in two years. The PO pulled the carburetor to rebuild it with a Moyer kit, and screwed up a rigid fuel line between the electric fuel pump and the carb. Then the pandemic came and he never got around to fixing it. So, it seems like I can remove the threaded elbow for a flare fitting that comes out of the fuel pump and replace it with a barbed fitting, then run rubber fuel hose from there to the carb, maybe with an inline filter. Seems pretty basic but it's all new to me. What else would you all suggest I do before pushing the start button? (I'll make sure the blower is working.) Records show the motor was rebuilt in 2013. PO said it was running fine before he messed it up, and all of my interactions with him indicate he is quite honest and transparent. Thanks.

    -Steven
