Moments before starting the winterizing process, I developed a leak in the water jacket side plate. It had corroded through. After removal I found all sorts of crud and blackish water. I would like to clean before replacing the plate and performing a flush. Any suggestions on how to clean out with the plate off? I also am trying to remove the thermostat and got both nuts off(tight spot for a wrench or socket) and it's moving on the front stud but is frozen on the rear stud. Any suggestions?
