Frozen Shift Cable

I have an Ericson 35 with an atomic 4 and after non-use for 2 months, I couldn't move my shift lever. I disconnected the (what appears to be a 6400) shift cable and the engine shifts normally.

I've isolated my frozen shift cable problem to a failed seal around the 5/16 SS shaft that slides within the shift cable housing and is attached to the engine shift lever. I freed the shaft with some liquid wrench and polished the SS shaft to the point where it operates smoothly.

Finally my question: Where can I find a replacement shift cable seal for the 5/16 SS shaft that fits into a 7/16 housing, and what lubricant should I use for the shaft?

Thanks,
Robert L
