    SuperFour on eBay

There's currently a SuperFour for sale on eBay. It's listed currently as an Atomic 4, so do an eBay search on that. Personally, no interest in bidding myself.

I think Moyer either has a LOT of engines they rebuilt out there or there is some copyright infringement going on

Neither one of these engines look like they have been within 1,000 miles of the MM shop.

I asked Don about that Super Four. He told me he's never rebuilt one of those.

Re: Super Four, I respectfully disagree. What I see may be a fine engine. I don't see any rust worth mentioning—just very dusty. Probably stored in a dry place. If it turns over, it could be quite a find. It has 55 horse power, gang. That'd push through a headwind.
I love the throttle lever, "Full speed ahead Mr McClintock, if you please?"

I have specs if anyone wants them.

That is pretty lame calling it a Moyer Marine engine. E-bay dude probably thinks Moyer was the manufacturer.

If I lived near it I would be tempted to buy it!

I think the best thing that can be said about these engines is this.

Moyer Marine has become the gold standard, the name brand in gas auxiliaries.

              No one copies a loser!

Was the Super-4 also built by Universal?

Oh,, I bet my boat would LOVE that, other than the extra weight

Yes. They made a lot of engines back in the day.

Hey Daniel, how about a "hi performance" launch for a second one?

My neighbor just got done doing a complete rebuild on an old "White" flathead in a "restored" half track from WWII. Did do a few parts ourselves.

I think the Universal parts would not be all that bad to come by either.

I've thought about a purpose performance boat build, just for our little engine.
Just to see how fast I can make the "atomic" go..
But it is also so easy to take all that money, and just buy readily available HP in other engine platforms and bolt in..(if speed in general in a boat was all I was looking for)

If there ever was a boat for the SuperFour, you have it!
You should go for it - 20 knots maybe
