All, It is with deep regret that I won't be able to complete the restoration of my Pearson Vanguard. Don & Co. rebuilt the A4 early model in 2000/2001.
In March of 2009 I pulled it down to the block and repaired or replaced everything except the crank shaft and pistons. This A4 has been upgraded with every late model upgrade Moyer has that I could think of except the carb which is still early model and has been rebuilt so many times I was going to replace it with a late model from Moyer. I added the reduction gear assy. I've rebuilt many engines and attended Moyer's A4 class before performing this overhaul.
Summary of upgrades and extras
Added fresh water pump to front of engine
Added complete set of gauges
Added new coil
Added reduction gear
Added exhaust in-line water inlet
Added electronic fuel pump
Replaced exhaust manifold
Comes with Indigo Fresh Water Cooling
Comes with Veritas water lift muffler and 10' exhaust hose
Comes with electronic points
Comes with Balmar 912-100 alternator and Balmar Max Charge regulator
Starter replaced in 2004
I've also got a ton of spares.
