    Question regarding a throttle cable

Hello just now learned how to post comments and am still learning about my engine which is an atomic 4. My throttle cable broke and I am wondering if when I connect it to the lever on the engine, should I start with the lever straight up, forwards, or backwards. If anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate some help. Thanks guys.

You want to be sure that when you place the throttle lever to idle in the cockpit that the lever on the carburetor itself rests against the idle stop set screw. Therefore, I always start by placing the throttle lever in the cockpit to idle, and then hold the lever on the carburetor against the idle stop set screw as I attach the cable.
