I rebuilt my starter and put it on today. I also replaced the impeller in my RWC pump. ( I have FWC). So before I put the pump back on I started the engine just to be sure all the wires were put back correctly. Started right up. Turned it off and put the raw water pump on. Now it would not start.
Checked the coil for spark. Heard the fuel pump clicking but I never hear it. So I pulled the fuel line off and to check for fuel. Finally got fuel and of course no clicking.
Put the fuel line back on and the motor would start but not run.
Now there are two things I am thinking. There is no connection on the alternator, starter or solenoid that would prevent starting. Is there? The other is by an unbelievable coincidence I have a main jet clog in my carburetor. The motor has run great all summer. Could this be an absolute coincidence or is there a terminal that I screwed up.
By the way I have normal fuel pressure. The only time I hear the fuel pump click is when there is no gas going through. I assume that is normal
