    Hello

    My name is Daniel.
I have built a 19 foot Spruce Chesapeake Bay Deadrise Skiff That I am going to put a A4 in.
I also have built a 18'8" Flat bottom Bay skiff that Is Red Cedar covered in west system epoxy. This boat too may receive a A4.
We bought a A4 a month ago, that was a victim of a tide of a hurricane Isabel 8 years ago.
It needs most everything redone, but I am doing it in stages.
The crank needs turning, I am boring it to .010 over because of rust and out of round.
The water passages going to the head were very flaking and have eroded away pretty bad to the point the head gasket may not keep the water out of the cylinders. (new head in future I guess)
Then I found the block also to be cracked at the water jacket area and this is what moved the bores out of round. But I repaired that.

Anyway It should slide the skiff along at at least 8 knots I figure, because it's hull speed would be less , but I have trim tabs that can keep the stern up, and If I turn it 2,500-2,700 Max I feel I can go faster than 6 knots.
The deadrise boat with motor and me should be about 1,600 lbs..
The flat bottom would only be about 1,200lbs.

    Anyway, lots left to do.
    I'll be talking to you,
    Daniel
Tyring to keep the Bay's Wooden Boat's history from dying off completely.
