Al, thank you for looking up the part # and phone # from Great Lakes. I just ordered one. Charlie said there is next to no demand for this spring, indicating to me they hardly ever break. I am glad that is all that is wrong with my little gearbox.

I got the retaining spring from Charlie and installed it today. Reverse works just great. I am glad that was the only thing wrong. It was a steep learning curve and with your help we solved it. Thank you!
