Emissions Data Question?

Hi there!

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is emissions data available for the A4 assuming optimal running. I am looking at bringing my boat to the Adriatic (Croatia) permanently and am concerned about meeting EU standards. I know this is kind of a far off question, but if anybody has insights they would be greatly appriciated.

I have seen a few European members over the years but don't remember their names. Perhaps one will chime in or another member may remember the name.

Perhaps Tom at Indigo may have some info as htey developed a PCV system that many of us like. Beats the slash tube taking the nasty krud and gasses "through" the carburetor.

The A4 is fully state-of-the-art regarding emissions control if this was 1930. The engine had absolutely nothing in the way of emissions control. The only rule it would meet would be a rule prohibiting 2-stroke engines, which it isn't.

I figured, but am trying to understand the engine's emissions output in relation to the miniums set by the EU - which I have in a document made available online from a Eurpoean standards website. The requirements do not seem to be applied by engine size. Instead they seem to be for all engines - spark and compression. So, if 200HP modern speedboat engines with emission controls are getting passed, perhaps a 30HP engine will pass based on the fact that it is much smaller and produces less emissions by default. Of course - I am guessing here and could be totally wrong - I so often am, just ask my wife

Do you have a document? Is this retroactive or only for new boats?

I do, basically I got my hands on the EU regs legal manual I think - great point regarding new vs existing engines. The language used seems aimed at producers or thoses looking to import into the "EU Market". Thanks for sticking with me on this everyone. As I hone in on an awser I will keep folks updated.
