props and heaters

I am considering two upgrades to my boat. One is installing a vari prop variable pitch prop, the other is installing a isotherm hot water heater with a heat exchanger.

The questions:

Anybody have any experience with either of these?
Are there any drawbacks or considerations in taping into the atomics cooling system to power the heat exchanger of the hot water tank?
