Thermostat ID question.

If running with\ with out a thermostat and clamping\not clamping the bypass doesn't solve the overheating problem it's time to look elsewhere in the cooling system.
The HX would be the prime suspect. See post #4. It is very possible you are not getting enough water through the raw water side of the HX.

I'm with Bunny Planet - just ditched the complexity of a FWC with thermostat and am running this season with raw water and no thermostat. Life is great so far.

joe, can you re-post a link to a source for those gauges? "square aircraft gauges" "square gauge", etc, yields unsatisfactory results.
