Possible oil leak at throttle cable bracket bolts

Recently replaced the throttle cable on my late model A4

Had to remove the long bracket that holds the throttle cable to replace some
worn out frozen small bolts due to access

Notiiced a oil seepage from the hex bolts holes that attach the bracket to the block.

Ran the engine a few days go . Today noted a small puddle 1 or 2 ounces at the rear of the engine.

Did not check other than cleanup and no leaks were apparent.

Am wondering if the bolts did not seal properly after reinstall bracket
should I now put sealant on these bolts threads?

Launch coming up -only a few days away

    Thoughts appreciated

    Thanks

Sealant (Permatex #2) won't hurt however do not use "split" lock washers . Use flat washers and if you really need lockers use the star type. Any fluid can work up the threads and out the split of a split lock washer.

      Thanks Dave

Will Do a further look today to locate source when off and cold and then do a run check.

May also be just a spill of mmo or leak elsewhere .

Just was not sure these bolts could seep that much, but worth a followup.

      Thanks Appreciated

Ran Engine yesterday - no sign of a leak - so must have been just a spill.

Worth checking out though just in case.
