I had prepared this excellent A4 for a Columbia 28 that a friend had for sale, just had not installed it yet. The person who bought the boat yesterday had been converted to the dark side and wants one of those stinky, noisy and vibrating things.
So, I have this A4 with 100, 100, 100 & 105 PSI compression. I have run it on my test stand for over one hour, oil pressure 40PSI, no leaks, no smoke and it passed my Redneck Dynomometer test. I warm the engine up, put it in forward gear and hold a 2X4 against the output shaft coupling until it smokes.
I have flushed the cooling system, rebuilt the Oberdorfer, used Kreen to clean out the combustion chambers, adjusted the valves, rebuilt the carb, starter, new plugs, wires, coil, points,etc.
I have a Moyer coolant pump and heat exchanger which can go with it. I will not sell this engine if you are going to use it in salt water without closed cooling.
The buyer is required to come to my shop and see, hear and watch the engine run. I have had too many folks who don't know a spark plug from a stuffing box buy one of my engines that I had rebuilt and was running perfectly when it left Bayou Chico screw it up. So, if you want it, come and get it. You can even stay the night at our guest cottage for free.
It is available in 3 states:
1-Complete, w/closed system cooling $2,000
2-Complete raw water cooling $1,500
3-Long block, w/o carb, starter, manifold, alt. $1,000
If you don't have a truck, I will deliver up to 500 miles from Pensacola for $1.00 per mile.
