    How much A4 is in a 1947 27hp Grey marine auxiliary sailboat engine?

    Hi guys...been a while since I last posted so here is the rundown;

    1. Sold my 67 C&C Corvette with its early model A-4;

    2. You already know about my 1956 42' Matthews Martinique Express Cruiser;

    3. Picked up a 22' 1959 Shepherd Model 110 (custom) Convertible (with original Chrysler M-45-SP 225hp engine)...ya, it's pretty fast!

    4. Lastly, in the fall of 2019 (and before it was cut up for scrap) I purchased (from the widow) a 1947 S&S 41' Bermuda Cutter built by Sachou Marine Builders in Toronto, ON that is equipped with its original 27hp Grey 4 cylinder engine.

    Which brings me to my question:

    How much A4 is in a 1947 27hp Grey Marine engine?

    PS...hope you like the photos!)

    Cheers!😎

    Probably 0%. Universal made dedicated marine engines including casting their own blocks. They were not tractor engines, jeep engines, or anything else.
