Engine wont start

This engine has performed perfectly until I freed up a stuck choke cable. I used to have trouble starting it when it was cold (but it would always start)now that I freed up the choke cable I can't start the engine with the choke in any position. Also, after numerous tries I pulled the spark plugs, the two at the aft of the engine were wet with gasoline but the two at the front of the engine were completely dry. Any suggestions? I do have spark.

Before doing anything more serious, I'd remove the flame arrestor and recheck the choke for proper function.
