I bought my new old boat, a 73 C& C 27 in March and have been slowly repairing and putting in replacements since. My A4 starts and runs just fine, but some previous owners/workers have made a few non-standard modifications to it. I have lots of questions.
Otherwise, though I live in Washington, DC, I have the boat docked in Oxford, Maryland, where she was when I bought her. The lovely town and great people at the boat yard make the long trip over more than worth it. I've had previous boats on the Western Shore where it's a lot more crowded and a lot less friendly.
The Chesapeake is a great place to sail. But I do sometimes too fondly remember the few years I lived on a different 27 down in the Florida Keys.
