    spring/pin gone on shifter

    Dear Don,
My throttle drags along when I shift gears. When I undo the round metal circle holding the two together I note that there is a hole where presumably a pin should be to engage the ring's detent. This I presume holds the throttle in place when the gear shifter changes from neutral to in gear. Is it a spring and pin? ANy ideas where I can get a new one to put in there?

    Lisa,

On the assumption that you're referring to the shifting lever assembly on
the side of the cockpit, you're probably referring to an old Morse system.
You can reach them at (610) 495-7011 for technical advice and parts support.

They are actually now called Teleflex-Morse.

      Don,
You're the best, I'll check it out.
      Thanks.
