Hi Again, and thanks to Don for all your generous help,
After an upper cylinder rebuild I now have this beast running quite sweetly after 6 years of inactivity!! . I retorqued the head bolts when hot up to 30 lb/ft - HOWEVER the stud at the corner of no 1 cylinder [on the starter motor side] feels soft and is still at 15-17 lb/ft - Question - do I go for broke or keep it as is, and is it likely to allow the gasket to blow/leak?
Also the transmission shift is very stiff at the gearbox [not the linkage], is there anything that should be done?
