    Wrong Electronic Ignition

    Don,
I bought an electronic ignition from you for my A4, but it is not the correct one for my distibutor. The part number on what you sent is 1545. The distributor I have is a Delco-Remy, #1112446 OH1. Can you check into this for me.

I check with your parts listing and the Delco model has to be mounted "flat" to the base plate. However, the electronic ign. I was sent has a circular lip that has the mounting holes on it. The base plate would have to have a lip on it that comes up about 1/2 inch in order to mount the electronic module. I am assuming this is possibly an ignition kit for the earlier model distributor.
    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Marty D.

    Marty,

Regrettably, you have inadvertently ordered and received an early model Ignitor. Please return it to our warehouse (address enclosed) and we'll send out a late model Ignitor for your engine by return mail.
