    Valve stuck on bolt head

I had a valve stick on number one cylinder. I had freed the valve. So proceeded to put the head back on and when I went to go run it now though it’s stuck on a bolt head has anyone seen this before?Click image for larger version

Looks like you may have a broken spring as the coils at the top look misaligned a bit.

Was/is it making noise while running?

        Dave,

Thank you for the reply!! Not sure how but a buddy of mine who used to have an Atomic back on the day got it free and now runs great!! Or at least as it used to. Guess it just got stuck that high. I didn’t understand how it could be at a greater distance then the lifters could do. He got it freed and but a 1/4 qt of ATF (will se the (Verdict) on that. But he said it’s thinner so run that for a few hours and do an oil change and you’ll be good to go.

        Thank you again. Paul

I'd check your valve clearances while you're in there.
