    New Purchase Check List ?

John from Seabeck, on Hood Canal, Puget Sound. Newbie with interest in this site as I am looking into purchasing the era and size of boat which often used the A4.

Are there any expensive A4 specific problems that are not obvious during casual inspection?

    Hi John,

Expensive is a relative term, but in my case the answer has been no. That is because I'm cheap and don't want to pay some mechanic $88/hour to work on my boat, so I do it all. If you're inclined to do the work yourself, you should be ok. By far, the most expensive thing I have done to mine is replace the water pump, a couple hundred bucks for the part. Keep in mind though, boat stands for Break Out Another Thousand. If it isn't one thing, it is usually the other..... They just take a little love.
