    Solenoid replacement

I have the Early model Prestolite starter/solenoid combo. The solenoid finally gave out.
I found one locally that would seem to meet the specs: http://www.downwindmarine.com/Cole-H...-91000041.html

Can anyone verify that the above would suffice? Specifically, Intermittent versus Continuous, and, the amp rating.

I think you've made an excellent choice. Cole-Hersee products are first class. Consider this my endorsement.

Good luck Jim. Be sure the mounting is secure. The solenoid uses the mount as a ground path.

Had to shape the brackets to fit snug against the starter case for good grounding. Works good. Looks good.
