A-4 mechanic near Hilton Head Island, SC

Looking for a good A-4 guy to check into my Catalina 30's persistent habit of slowly dying when under load. 843.422.5094.

      Same Problem

My A4 did the same thing on two occasions in my Ranger 33 and it was caused by old fuel line.
The first time was when I installed a new filter. The fuel line was so old that a piece inside the line partially blocked the fuel going into the filter when I attached the hose to the fitting. The engine ran fine but over time the piece moved blocking more fuel and resulting in low power.

The second time was because some material from inside the old fuel line got inside the carburetor.

In both cases the engine ran fine for awhile with intermittent loss of power then full loss and only up to 1200 RPM in gear.
