    Engine is in

Thanks to all who offered assistance during the overhaul of my 1961 A4. Special thanks to Dave Neptune and Don Moyer. As for cost I have about $1300 in parts and about $650 at the machine shop. I have new pistons, rings, springs and all bearings. The head was machined down, cylinders bored 10 over, valve job and crank was turned 10 over. I even through in a Kaminsky mod and electric fuel pump. The Moyer Overhaul manual was a great resource. Would I do it again, in a minute it was a lot of fun. And most importantly, I know every inch of the motor and reversing gear, which should provide some peace of mind when far from shore. I included some pics of it going in, and yes it's a logging truck. Sorry I have no pics of it on the bench, color is Dodge hemi orange. Carl
