water pump gasket - new trick

I always have a hard time getting the Oberdorfer back plate and gasket on my Atomic 4 in a Catalina 30. The gasket always gets messed up trying to get the screws in the four holes. This time I outsmarted the pump. I used two smallish binder clips to hold the gasket in place to the back plate. I was able to easily start the four screws, remove the binder clips, and tighten the screws without any of the usual messing around. The gasket stayed where it was suppose to stay. Very easy and I hope this trick is helpful to some other all- thumbs mechanic.

I know the drill all to well.
I stick the back plate gasket to the back plate with a bit of TFE paste. Holds it in place and helps it to seal.
