In all my years as an A4 person, the best blocks I got came from the Great Lakes, Lake Lanier or any other fresh water source.
Reviewing this forum, you will find out where the block and head corrodes through. Two of the blocks I have have been sleeved because the cylinder had rusted through. By converting to dual pumps, a heat exchanger and fresh water cooling, they could last forever.
