    accessory drive gears

I have an excessive backlash play in the accessory drive gears.
The backlash noise/slap is very loud especially when the is eng,. is turned off.
Very concerned of a tooth breaking at the worst time.(as it always happens...)
    What to do?
Is there a way to find new set?
Is there a way to adjust backlash?
Is there a way to have new ones made?
Is there a way to rebuilt the old ones?
Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Have you done Moyers adjustment procedure? Adjusting both fwd and
    reverse may be worth exploring.

Are you speaking of the reverse gear?
      He said his accessory drive?
Not aware of a adjustment procedure of the accessory drive..

Rather than the gears being worn (which I doubt), it may be wear of the bearings supporting the gears. The accessory drive is relatively easy to remove, giving direct access to the driven gear and its bearings. The rim of the idler gear will also be accessible through the hole, allowing evaluation of its bearing. If the idler needs work, than will mean removal of the transmission housing.
