    ISO Atomic 4 Mechanic

OK, I give up. After rebuilding the carburetor last summer, replacing the old mechanical fuel pump with an electrical, and installing a fancy new Racor filter and having everything running perfectly, I had to have the boat towed to the lift last week so I could get hauled for the winter. The dang thing just would NOT start. Plenty of fuel to the carb, so I'm guessing the carb got fouled from sitting around from about late June until December.

Can someone recommend a competent A-4 mechanic in southern Maryland (the boat is near Pt. Lookout) who could come and look at the thing? Is it reasonable to ask someone to try to fix it while the boat is hauled? I'm ready to turn this problem over to someone else!

I recommend calling a gentleman to whom we've referred many of our customers by the name of Will Sibley. Will lives and works in Shadyside MD. You can email him at: shadyside1190@comcast.net.
