I recently removed my alternator and noted that there are small bushing in the pivot bolt holes in the lifting bracket. I never realized they were there and they look a bit worn. Has anyone sourced replacements for them?

Do you have the MMI spring loaded belt tensioner? Such bushings are included in the kit.

Take care not to crank that pivot bolt tight when you reinstall. The alternator must be allowed to pivot. The bushings are there to take up the sloppy holes in the lifting bracket and hold the alternator pulley in alignment with the accessory drive pulley. If you don't have them, installation instructions are found on the MMI Home Page→Support→Instructions→Alternator Tensioning ArmNeil
