Crack
There was actually no crack in the old manifold - just reflections in the image.
The old one is too far gone for re-use as it can barely hold the exhaust flange.
I though perhaps I was splashing water back down the exhaust and creating a lot of steam, and that this may have contributed to leaks, which contributed to the corrosion.
In any case my new exhaust stack is better, and I will keep better tabs on leaks.
