    A test sail...

Due to the unseasonably good weather, I decided to skip out for a sail on Tuesday. This gave me an opportunity to test the engine after some of the minor maintenance I've done.

    1. After installing a proper thermostat housing gasket, the engine is nice and dry.

    2. After adjusting the shift linkage, reverse fully engages and stays that way, even at higher power.

    3. The engine definitely has more pep after just cleaning the spark plugs. I can't wait to install new plugs.

Overall, I'm pleased with how the engine operated, but I still have a few little things to do.

Ajax, nice work. I have not tempted myself with this unseasonably warm weather by avoiding the boat!

Yeah, I hear ya! I've only been there once since late December. She was sleeping quietly.

I could never leave mine alone for that long. I stop by once a week to have a walk around, talk to her a little, and maybe pump out the bilge. I wouldn't feel right leaving her alone for a month at a time.

I'm down there at least every other day. It helps that the boat is about 2 minutes from my front door. I'm too paranoid to leave the boat alone for very long.

Ajax, If my boat was as close as yours I'd be aboard the old girl every day too.

I'm normally up there once a week. This was pretty unusual.
