Hello folks. Been a long time.
I built a new exhaust riser, wrapped it in insulation tape. I have a couple of hours on the engine. My smoke alarm went off - FIRE. Not CO warning. I visually inspected, and saw thin smoke coming off it.
Is it possible that the black pipe has some kind of paint or varnish that is burning off?
It is definitely not carbon monoxide setting off the alarm. I installed a new alarm to check.
thanks you.
Chris
