I am selling my spare atomic 4.
The motor appears to have been a relatively low hour motor. According to the guy I bought it from, it was a running "take-out" in the 70's and stored by two different owners for more than 30 years. When I got it, it was dirty but mechanically sound. Compression tested on 6/16/14 with engine cold at: 105, 100, 101, 105 PSI
I have run it in my garage but never installed it in a boat. It runs well and sounds good. It has new plug wires and ignition coil, but before installing it I would replace the pump impeller. I have not tested the alternator.
This is an early model motor, but it has a late model starter and carburetor. It has an electric fuel pump. I have the early model thermostat housing that I can throw in.
It is a direct drive motor, but I am also selling a reduction gear.
Asking price: $850. The motor is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I can help with delivery for board members or package it up for shipping.
