My new MMI Flexible impeller flange pump can with grease?

    Hi--

This weekend I'm doing an overhaul of the fresh water cooling system and the raw water pump. I purchased the MMI 'modern' flange pump: https://moyermarine.com/product/mmi-...p-csob_00_365/

... and the pump looks great! Plus no grease pot.

Now the question, I read the instructions... and it came with gaskets and small ziplock containing a dab of blueish marine grease. I reread the instuctions but did not see an mention of where to put the grease.

Any ideas? I'm sure the wizards of MMI put it there for reason, but I can'f figure it out.
    Thanks,

These are technical terms of course, but you schmear that grease all over the gossamer-thin O-ring and, for good measure, spooge it into the channel in the plate the O-ring fits into.

      Ahhhhh.

I assumed the new pump with cool MMI cover plate already had done that, but probably good to check.
