Yes, no problem. The oil level is way below that point.
The most challenging part is getting the top fitting, where you attach the drain hose, to line up in the direction you want it.
A TIP:
Use a little more hose than you think you want until you've done a change or two.
It gives you more options to "storing" the hose when you're not using it and it's easier to cut it later than decide you want it longer and reaching under there to install another one.
(Wonder how I know this?)
Jerry,
Thanks! Measure twice; cut once - the old carpenter's rule. Fortunately, I have the carb and fuel pump off the engine for rebuilds, so that will make the install easier. Hoping to be back in the water by mid-May; hopefully this early spring weather is not just a tease.

I have the oil change kit installed on a Moyer Exchange Engine.
My question: what do you recommend to suck the oil out?
I have looked online and at the local marine store but I haven't
found anything that would attach to the fitting on the end of the
hose. All the suction change kits I have seen just have the
light plastic hose for insertion into the dip stick hole which, it
seems to me, would be prone to collapse if it were modified to
attache to the existing setup.
I am sure that some of the A-4 experts on this net have a
recommendation for a good system.
I have run the new engine at the dock for 1 hour and want to
change the oil before I go to the next phase of run in with a cruise
around the bay.
Thanks

I just changed my oil with a manual pump through the dipstick on my A4 and next time I will get the Moyer oil change kit and find some sort of oil change pump. I have heard others have used an electric fuel pump, but will they hold up pumping higher viscosity oil?
Thanks for the input

I use a 12v electric fuel pump from Advance Auto. Have it permanently connected inline with the oil drain hose, and have alligator clips on the wires. I keep the whole thing coiled up in the engine compartment. When I want to use it, I just take it out, uncap the hose (that little metal fitting that comes with the oil change kit, with a screw-on cap is terrific), put the end in a big plastic bottle, connect the alligator clips to the battery (polarity is important - else the pump runs the wrong direction!) and drain the hot oil.
I have the oil change kit installed on a Moyer Exchange Engine. My question: what do you recommend to suck the oil out?
I bought a nice little brass hand pump from a marine store. I permanently installed a section of 5/16" fuel hose on the sump tube with a 90 degree elbow brass nipple, and then shoved a straight nipple in the open end and screwed a little cap onto it. To remove oil, I warm the engine, unscrew that cap, and then insert the long thin hose that came with the pump into the hose and down through the sump pipe into the oil pan. The pump hauls out the warm oil very easily. I pump it into a used empty water jug with a screw top and take it to the hazardous waste recycler.
Does oil change kit require removing carb/fuel pump?
Revisiting the Moyer Oil Change Kit--does installation require removing the carb/fuel pump to install the new brass pickup tube?
Thanks for the clarification.
