Just rebuilt the water pump with kit from Moyer. Got a lot more water thoughput. The cam shoe was down to .083". My problem now is that the water is getting past the shaft seal. I installed the new ones in the same orientation as the old ones came out, and I think according to the instuctions. Although a sketch would be nice as both sides of the seal are metal. The final result was the springs are away from the impeller and the engine block. Perhaps the water side seal is backwards and the increased water pressure is causing a leak.

Regrettably, it appears that both seals were installed with the lips facing
in the wrong direction. Lip seals are designed to withstand pressure when
the lip is facing in the direction from which the pressure is originating.
In the case of the impeller chamber, the lip should be facing the impeller.
Although the direction of the lip in the flange end of the pump is less
important (there is very little pressure developed within the crankcase of
the engine), the lip in the seal in the flange end of the pump should be
facing the engine.
The side of the seal opposite the name "Oberdorfer" is the direction in
which the lip is facing.
If you give me a call on our technical service line at (410) 810-8920 prior
to taking the pump apart again, I'll try to answer any other questions you
may have.

This from one of our recent tech notes: "Be sure to orient the new inner
seal so that you will have the name "Oberdorfer" facing you when the seal is
installed. This will have the lip of the seal facing in the direction of
the impeller chamber. The seal on the flange end of the housing needs to be
installed in the opposite direction. The flange seal should be installed
with the name "Oberdorfer" facing away from you, so that the lip of the seal
faces the engine when the pump is installed."
Hope this helps,
Don
