Looking for solutions. Engine runs for 6 hours stumbles to a stop but restarts to run

Coil over heating?

I had a lot of problems with the coil overheating after running it for a while. The standard install on the back of the engine is pretty poor and many engines have auto coils that just aren't up to the job. It would start and run fine after it cooled off.

Finally got one of the higher power Moyer coils and mounted it off the engine on a bulkhead, ran some thicker gauge wire from the ignition switch as well.
