Important question
in the mmi manual rebuilding / reassembly section, don says that the output coupling has to be seated against a special flat washer which is not shown in the universal parts diagram.
i am reassembling and i have not found such a washer. is don referreing to the flat lock washer with the ears you bend to hold the nut on at the end?
thankskeithems

what concave washer?
all that came off the shaft were some ball bearing assemblies, rings, etc. i see the permanent washer on the shaft but the only other one i have loose is the lock washer with the ears, which the final nut butts up onto, per the mmi manual.
can u tell me the part # of the concave washer as listed in the pasts diagram in the universal motors parts manual?keithems

i think i have & understand everything in this diagram
the problem is that in the mmi manual [rebuilding, reassembly section] don says the flat washer is not listed in any parts manual...maybe that once was true but no longer is?
btw-- the parts manual and owners manual for the a4 is available & downloadable at cncphotoalbum.comLast edited by keithems; 06-10-2012, 12:54 PM.keithems

Nope not there...but look in the Moyer marine catalog under overhaul section then reversing gear and it is called a beveled spacerWith Powerboats, it's about the destination. With Sailboats, you are already there.
