This is exactly what I do. Every spring gets a new Sierra filter. Cheap insurance.

Those are the ones I got rust holes in. So please do keep up the yearly replacement. Also note you can dump them out into a bucket to get water out of them.

        Not Sure

I posted "not sure", though after taking a look, there is an OLD water seperator filter in there. Ordering a Racor today!

          Why Racor 320R?

          Hi Folks,

I don't have a water seperator, but I am looking to add one. The Racor 320R seems to be recommended here, and elsewhere, for the A4. I am curious as to why. Racor lists this model as having a capactiy of 60gph. The 120R model seems to be very similar, but smaller (for a tight engine compartment)and have a capacity of 30gph. Surely it can't be a capacity issue, considering the A4 burns about 1gph? Are there other differences that make the 320R a better fit for the A4?

          Thanks,
          Tim Young

The big one holds more water and dirt. Other than that, either one would work.

PT26 has a Racor filter, the first of three fuel filters.

Not a racor, but the venerable Perko 299. I was cleaning my unit and replacing the plug on the bottom with an easy to use valve (with cap). Should make checking the fuel a snap.

I suppose that someday I won't be able to find filter elements and will have to consider a change, but in the meantime....

You can blow those elements out with an air compressor if memory serves. It is a bronze mesh.

I actually soaked my spare in alcohol and dissolved most of the junk. Should be good to go for a long time

That would be me... for example...

120 Series with metal bowl. New came with the boat. Will be installing it once rebuild is back in.

                              not Racor. Maybe perko 299? I don't remember but here's a pic http://www.moyermarine.com/forums/at...1&d=1456953564
