    Standpipe replacement

I had the standpipe rebuilt. There is flexible hose on its way into the collection tank which allows me some leeway to seat the flange. At someone’s instruction I used a hi heat paper gasket and it is not sealing correctly after several tries. Should I be using a different kind of gasket?

Are you using studs or bolts? Sometimes the threads on bolts and or the manifold get a bit crappy and even though the bolt is torqued tight it not really all the way in. Try studs if you are not already using them. Also studs make it easy to line up the flange.

        Studs or bolts

Hi thank you for the reply. I’ll do some research on studs vs bolts. Right now I’m using bolts but I will look into this

          C&C30

I found out I have a leak in my exhaust plumbing. Has anyone used the Moyer exhaust in a C&C30? I am also thinking of getting rid of the vertical water muffler and go straight from the plumbing to the outlet. Would this product a louder exhaust? I found mine exhaust plumbing cam off easy from the manifold, as I thought I would have to struggle with the bolts. Thank you Dave

Dave, first welcome to the MMI Afourian Forum.

You would probably be better off starting a new thread as this one was started in 2004.

There are a few on this forum with similar boats and they may chime in.

            And yes a bit noisier.
