    I am new also.

I have a 75 Sabre 28. with original A4. I am considering removing the engine this winter for rebuild. It is still running adequately with one cylinder showing low compression, my chief concern is the leaking around my water intake plate. and the general rusting of the engine. which will require removal of generator and starter to gain access. Am I wrong in thinking that a total rebuild is the way to go, sooner rather than later. It is an original salt water cooled so I am wondering about the internal condition. Though I have no evidence of water intrusion.
Don I see you sign off with Chestertown address. I have an old family connection with Chestertown. I think the Rudnicks may still be there. The Bonnetts I believe have been gone for a number of years. Both families were main street shopkeepers. I use to visit there in the 60's. eating lots of crabs.
I now sail the coast of Maine, out of Rockport
