Exhaust Systems and Hot Section Specs
Okay, I'll start this category off by posting two of my favorite pdf's on exhaust systems. One has drawings from Sparkman and Stephens on muffler types, a great reference on the subject, the other covers the USCG specifications on marine exhaust systems.
For those contributing to this forum category, you're encouraged to provide as many descriptive tags as possible to make future searches easier.

Here are the originals I have such as they are. I've included a three stage functional drawing of a waterlift I stumbled across too.
Really sorry for the quality but it is what it is. Waterlift detail.jpg Waterlift elevation.jpg Waterlift function.jpg

There are volume considerations. was that included in the diagrams and specs?

Quote:
What really matters is the waterlift's capacity must be greater than the volume of the downstream exhaust hose from the waterlift to the top of the hump. It has to contain any backwash on shutdown.

A little help please.
Doing the rebuild. Black pipe, flange, water injector port, everything fits nicely. However, the water hose is 3/4. How have you guys chosen to reduce the water hose to fit the injection barb? Is the barb pipe thread? I went to te hardware store tonight, and nothing threaded on that well. I was thinking of adapting the port, but the store was out of what I needed. Off to a different store tomorrow. Did some of you nevk down the hose? Thanks or he help. |
