I'm here!
Shawn texted me. We're alive and well. Boat still on the hard. Spent most of this past year doing remodel on a second house that we got for cheap. Doing some boat stuff and staying to myself for the while. Had a trip planned for new York an on down to Fla. But chucked those tickets back. We will someday though.. Thanks for the thoughts. I'll post more tomorrow. Ta, Russ.

I was about to go dig out your Christmas letter if you didn't show up and give an update! I couldn't remember the status of the boat.

Glad to hear it! These days, when someone abruptly drops off the net, we start to worry.

So,
In August we went to Iceland. Found this in a little museum (pic) It's from a farmers fishing dink. Made around 1900. Was installed in the boat in the 1930s and used until the late 1960s. How's that for stalwart service?

Sweet indeed
Hey Russ good to see your fine.
That's a really nice piece! With a few spur gears and a few shafts you'll have power winches for [I]Whiskey Jack[I]. Some polishing and a bit of TLC and she'll run again if she can spin. I just donated my leather bound babbitt scraping tool set to a collector friend last year, otherwise they'd possibly be on your way. I am going to be looking for a small launch soon and want a "open engine" to shine and show off. Dave Neptune |

Oh Dave,
Sorry to disappoint but I just saw it in a museum. Would have been a tad difficult to get it past the docents, US customs, airline baggage restrictions, and of course; my wife. I considered it though. Tell us more about you dream project. I do have that Atomic 2 and parts engine that I never did anything with. You'd be the one that could get it running if anyone. https://www.moyermarineforum.com/for...ead.php?t=8588 R.
